Nao consigo configurar o Apache - Erro 403- Suse 11.1

Ola nao estou conseguindo configurar o apache no Suse 11.1, apos ter instalado pelo Yast2 eu iniciei o servidor mais qdo tento acessar apagina 127.0.0.1 (localhost) ele apresenta o seguinte erro.

Acesso Proibido!

Você não tem permissão para acessar o diretório requisitado. Pode não existir o arquivo de índice ou o diretório pode estar protegido contra leitura.

Se você acredita ter encontrado um problema no servidor, por favor entre em contato com o webmaster.

Use o yast2 para configurar o apache.  É bem mais simples.

Vá no Gerenciador de softwares dentro do YaST e instale o seguinte pacote yast2-http-server e o módulo irá aparecer.

vc inicou o apache? tem usar como root no terminal o camando # rcapache start para iniciar o apache e # rcapache stop para parar.... lembrando que no opensuse a pasta padrão é a srv/www/htdocs e para inserir artigos lá deve dar permissão de escrita nas pastas...um abraço!

Por padrão o Apache2 do openSUSE NÃO ADICIONA NENHUMA PÁGINA DE TESTE, logo, qualquer acesso ao localhost irá apresentar um erro.

Faça o seguinte teste:
echo "Funcionando normalmente" > /srv/www/htdocs/index.html
E agora acesse pelo navegador o 127.0.0.1 ou localhost. Se for exibida a frase é sinal que está tudo ok.

Cara, comigo também estava ocorrendo exatamente o mesmo problema e segui a dica acima e está tudo funcionando beleza!!! Resolveu! Valeu ai

Amigo,

o APACHE da distribuição openSUSE é prefork (ele utiliza processos em vez de threads, sendo mais seguro e utiliza-se de mais memoria e é aconselhado utilizar caso venha usar modulos de terceiros que não tenha suporte a thread-safe.) e segundo a documentação http://old-en.opensuse.org/Apache_Quickstart_HOWTO apenas arquivos terminados em '.conf' são automaticamente incluídos à configuração do mesmo.

Sendo assim, quando você for configurar um VirtualHost deve colocar o arquivo de configuração na pasta ../vhosts.d/ e o mesmo deve terminar em '.conf'. Além disso deve configurar o arquivo listen.conf que fica no diretório do APACHE para utilizar NameVirtualHost na porta que deseja.
